Robotic Urological Surgery

We are a team of three very experienced uro-oncological surgeons. We were amongst the first consultant urologists in the UK to be fully trained and accredited to carry out robotic radical prostatectomies. We can offer patients:

  • minimally invasive robotic surgery
  • conventional open surgery

We have come together specifically to deliver high quality robotic laparoscopic surgery. We trained together at the European School of Surgery in Paris and Imperial College (St Mary’s Hospital), London. We have all, been certificated in robotic surgery by Intuitive Surgical, the manufactures of the da Vinci robot. We are sufficiently experienced to be mentors, teaching and demonstrating robotic surgery for Intuitive Surgical.

Having trained as a team, we work as a team. We feel this offers our patients the depth and breadth of our experience.

Not all, operable prostate cancer is suitable for minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery. Having expertise in both robotic and conventional open surgery, our team has the ability to offer patients surgical procedures, which we feel are appropriate to the stage and grade of their disease.
